"Drawn Together" SOHO art exhibition

Two of my pages from my erotic comic, "Second Chances" will be framed and the gallery has agreed to sell copies of my self-published mini comic. The comic is pre-packed with a set of four Foxy Andy post cards and sells for $10. If you're in Manhattan, stop by the gallery and pick up a copy! Note that my original comic pages will be available for sale, too! Don't forget that copies of my mini-comic are also available online via my ETSY shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/foxyandy
Also included in the show are several small works that will be a part of a "Big Wall of Little Drawings" which features artwork ranging in size from 8 x 10 inches to about 5 x 6 inches.
Lastly, I will have several large pieces on paper available in a portfolio. Here will be some life model drawings as well as a few hand colored ink drawings.
Check back soon as I will post all the details about the exhibit ASAP, or check with the gallery website: http://www.leslielohman.org/index.html

Foxy Comics
Always wanted to know how to write erotic comics or dialog-free comics? Well my good friend, Dale Lazarov, recently did a podcast at "Deconstructing Comics". Check it out. It's fun and informative, and I highly recommend it! :)
"Writing erotic comics? What’s so hard about writing a story about sex? Dale Lazarov, writer of gay erotic comics like “Sticky,” “Manly,” and the forthcoming “Nightlife,” talks about the challenges of writing erotic comics, and of dialog-free comics."

Foxy Pride
Happy Pride to all my fellow LGBT foxy fans! This week-end is pride here in NYC area, and it also is the 40th anniversary of Stonewall. We've come a long way in the fight for human rights, but there is still a long way to go. sigh...
On a slightly different note, it's also an important time for me because it's also the debut of my "ashcan" edition of my comic "Second Chances"! You might have caught me talking about this earlier in a previous post, but let me refresh your memory. This erotic, gay tale of romance was written by the fab Dale Lazarov and is part of a collection of three stories we're working on called "CHUMS".
Anyways, NYC Comic retailers, Jim Hanley's Universe, is hosting a Pride event this coming Saturday at their midtown location and yours truly will be there along with many others! There will even be panels about gays in comics, and a "how to self publish" so why not stop by and check it out? You can support the community and learn a little something at the same time. ...oh, and maybe even find a date (if you're looking)!
For the complete details about the event this Saturday (June 27th), click here: http://jhuniverse.blogspot.com/2009/06/pride-day-at-jim-hanleys-universe-june.html
If you can't make it to the event, I will be selling copies of "Second Chances" on my ETSY shop next week. So stay tuned!!

Foxy Comicon
It's been a while since I last posted, but I've been busy!
Most recently I went to the NYC Comicon this past week-end and had a good time.
Met with talented folks like TIM FISH, PHIL JIMENEZ, STEVE SADOWSKI, and JAMES L. BARRY to name a few.
If you don't know who they are, well you must not read comics because they are all BIG stars that deserve props.
TIM FISH: the creative genius behind "Cavalcade of Boys" and "Young Bottoms in Love" makes foxy boy stories that are fun and light hearted with just the right amount of relationship drama to make a great read. http://www.timfishworks.com/
PHIL JIMENEZ: a busy bee with talent oozing out of his every pore. He's done a ton of work for both Marvel and DC comics, and a gracious and wonderful guy who's always got the time to talk to his fans. He's out and proud and there happens to be a great interview with him courtesy of The GAY LEAGUE here.
STEVE SADOWSKI: draws some of the hottest guys I've ever seen. I know his work best from the various JSA comics I've picked up solely for that reason. He's currently working on the new Avengers/Invaders title from Marvel Comics. So check it out!!

JAMES L. BARRY: Is a talented illustrator and artist currently seen in the manga adaptation of the bestselling series, Warriors!! If you like cats (I sure do) then you need to buy this book!
